Oprah Is NOT The Godmother  Oprah’s best friend Gayle King shut down the rumors that had been running rampant about Oprah being the godmother to Beyonce and Jay-Z’s daughter Blue Ivy.  “It’s absolutely not true that she’s the godmother.” Oprah’s bestie said she is fond of the couple but hasn’t even sent them a baby gift yet! “She’s friends with them, of course, and likes them both very much. She’s working on sending them a baby gift. She hasn’t even had time to send a baby gift because she’s been away.” So there ya have it folks. I knew that rumor made absolutely no sense. I don’t think Bey and Jay are that shallow. They hardly know Oprah to make her the godmother. It does beg the question though—who is the godmother? Kelly Rowland? Solange? On a somewhat related sidenote—has anyone heard a peep from Michelle Williams? Where is she?
