Whitney Houston Funeral Set for Friday Whitney Houston, who passed away Saturday afternoon after a lethal mixture of Xanax and alcohol (the toxicology report will not be back for a couple of weeks) , will be laid to rest in her home town of Newark, New Jersey. The legendary singers body is being flown from California to New Jersey via Tyler Perry’s private jet. This is still so sad. Her 18-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina has been stricken by grief being hospitalized twice. She is currently with her father, Bobby Brown, siblings, and other close family. We send out our prayers to the Houston & Brown families.
