Bobby Brown Funeral Drama
Bobby Brown left Whitney’s funeral early into the ceremony on Saturday due to some petty shit seating issues. Apparently, he brought more people than the Houston family had allotted for him.
The news kept reporting that Bobby wanted his “entourage” seated, but it seems that that entourage consisted mostly of his tribe of children. Also, he wanted to be seated next to his daughter Bobbi Kristina (rightfully so), but that was reportedly out of the question. Bobby released this statement:

“My children and I were invited to the funeral of my ex-wife Whitney Houston. We were seated by security and then subsequently asked to move on three separate occasions.”He continued, “I fail to understand why security treated my family this way and continue to ask us and no one else to move. Security then prevented me from attempting to see my daughter Bobbi-Kristina. In light of the events, I gave a kiss to the casket of my ex-wife and departed as I refused to create a scene.”

Listen, I know Bobby and Whitney had mountains of issues, but at the end of the day they were married for over a decade. He is the father of her only child. I don’t give a fuck what her family’s feelings are towards him—he has an obligation and a right to be there for his daughter during this time. Anything contrary to that is petty and they should be ashamed of themselves.
Now this drama only gets worse because the Houston family has been keeping Bobby from Bobbi Kristina since Whitney’s death and the question becomes what happens with custody. Yes, Bobbi Kristina is 18, but given her addiction history and the recent tragedy, this is an important issue. Bobby has reportedly said that he won’t involve lawyers in the situation because he doesn’t want to make it any harder for Bobbi Kris saying, “this sort of thing you let The higher power handle”.
What a sick, sad mess. I’m disgusted by all of this. The funeral was beautiful, but there’s so much ugliness going on behind the scenes.
