Oprah Is NOT The Godmother  Oprah’s best friend Gayle King shut down the rumors that had been running rampant about Oprah being the godmother to Beyonce and Jay-Z’s daughter Blue Ivy.  “It’s absolutely not true that she’s the godmother.” Oprah’s bestie said she is fond of the couple but hasn’t even sent them a baby gift yet! “She’s friends with them, of course, and likes them both very much. She’s working on sending them a baby gift. She hasn’t even had time to send a baby gift because she’s been away.” So there ya have it folks. I knew that rumor made absolutely no sense. I don’t think Bey and Jay are that shallow. They hardly know Oprah to make her the godmother. It does beg the question though—who is the godmother? Kelly Rowland? Solange? On a somewhat related sidenote—has anyone heard a peep from Michelle Williams? Where is she?

The former Destiny’s Child singer shares with In Touch her excitement about her new stylish job, “This is so exciting especially when you naturally become a fan of the brand which is what happened here.” Kelly added, “I think every woman should definitely rock a TW Steel…especially the way we are going to design in the new year… It’s going to be so, so sexy, so stylish, so next level. I love it!” I must say, despite the fact that Kelly’s albums don’t do too well she’s always doing something. Kudos to her for keeping her name in the spotlight as much as she does after breaking free of Destiny’s StepChildren.

Despite Here I Am only reaching #56 on the UK Official Album Charts, Kelly Rowland still has major star power. The 30-year-old singer looks too fab on the cover of Marie Claire UK. 

On whether Beyonce’s pregnancy has made her broody: “No. I will babysit and change a diaper or two, and then give it back. I do want kids, but every time I think about a little person growing inside of me and getting bigger and bigger and then having to come out…. a watermelon coming out of something the size of a lemon is insane to me.”

I wonder if she ever gets tired of answering questions about Beyonce when she clearly has her own thing going on? I’m sure she knew that was part of the deal when she willingly became a backup singer in Destiny’s Child.

Kelly Rowland’s Here I Am #56 on the UK’s Official Album Charts. Even as a host on the X-Factor (see her When Love Takes Over and Down For Whatever performance above) the former Destiny’s Child singer only sold a mere 3,000 copies.

She tweeted the above photo along with the caption, “My leading man for #KeepItBetweenUs has arrived safely in Paris! Guess who it is!”  They would make a really cute couple! Apparently, Lance had a crush on Kelly for a long time but he’s unfortunately in a relationship at the moment. Too bad :/

In Touch reports: “About four cities into the tour, Chris began asking Kelly out to dinner. She initially shunned his advances, but ultimately gave in.” Naaaah. I don’t see it. This doesn’t seem realistic to me at all. Besides, Chris is still dating the chick with the hard to pronounce name.
