New Video: The Dream - Roc

The Dream jumps on the old-school-but-new-school-party-vid bandwagon for his new video “Roc”. 

I just wanted to have fun and go back to those 90s videos where it’s always like you got the camera for the first time. Like, ‘Oh shit! Let’s just shoot this shit! Let’s see what happens!’

I like this song, so I’ll excuse the vid… Looks like they had a good time.

New Video: M.I.A. - Bad Girls

As promised, M.I.A drops the visuals for single “Bad Girls” today and I fucking love it. Say what you want. The elaborate costumes, the crazy horse/car tricks, and of course the song make it classic M.I.A. for me. 

M.I.A. talks about the making of the “Bad Girls” video:

It was dope to have so many people from so many different backgrounds speaking so many different languages come together to create something that we believed in. I thought I was gonna die on the shoot when I saw the drifting. It was a four day shoot so everyone was on edge the whole time — specifically ME when I had to do blue steel singing to the camera while the cars did doughnuts on the wet road ten feet away. In my mind I was thinking how I was gonna deliver the video to Vice with no legs.

(Not So) New Video: Drake - Practice

I saw this before and I didn’t watch it all the way through because if you’ve seen one big booty girl pop it in a dirty room, you’ve seen them all.

But this actually turned out to be the OFFICIAL video for Drake’s “Practice” off Take Care. For those of you who want to get to the point, Drake pops in around 3:25.

I will say this, pretty smart vid. Guys love booty shaking videos, and girls know they’re in the mirror at least once a week twerking it out for the next time they see their boo.

But really though?

New Music & Video: Madonna - Give Me All Your Luvin ft Nicki Minaj & M.I.A.

Finally, after much teasing, Madonna drops her “Give Me All Your Luvin” track featuring Nicki Mianj & M.I.A. This track acts leads off her 12th studio album, M.D.N.A. and will also be performed during the half-time this weekend.

Hmmm…

The “Give me all your love and give me your love, give me all your love today,” part is catchy but the rest of it sounds like a commercial for a tiny fuel efficient hybrid car.

This was what all the hype was about?

Madonna makes SURE not to let M.I.A. (who’s seemingly sold her soul to pop music) and Nicki Minaj over shadow her in HER video. She kept those bitches in an ally cheering for HER and reminded them that SHE’S the reason why they even have careers… LMFAO! She even had them dress up like HER (she made Nicki cover all-dat-ass up!)for their 2 second verses, which are short and simple.

All in all I don’t hate it, I did expect more, but it may grow on me. The video’s concept is really cute with the non-descriptive submissive football players and masked cheerleaders, keeps with the Superbowl theme but still throws out the message “This Superbowl is about ME.L-U-V MADONNA!”
